Our History |
|
Lorraine Press was established in 1946 by Harry B. Miller. Mr. Miller had returned from active military service in WWII, and in honor of his division insignia, the Cross of Lorraine, named his new company Lorraine Press. From the beginning, Lorraine Press was a force in newspaper printing throughout the Wasatch Front. But Lorraine Press saw the future in four-color printing. During the next decades, Lorraine Press evolved into a pre-eminent four-color printer with a full-service post press operation. Then, as desktop publishing revolutionized the graphic communications world, Lorraine Press was in the forefront. We eagerly expanded to include a dynamic prepress department. In 1990, Lorraine Press invested in stochastic screening to raise the bar even highera full decade before any of our competition. Our initiative for searching out the best in technology and equipment has led us to implement a proprietary color management system throughout our processes. And from the beginning we have been, and always are, committed to actively providing valued products and services for our customers. |
